SOUP: It’s Worth Talking About
Last week saw our 3rd virtual SOUP event – and our 19th overall. Hard to believe it has been five years since we started the SOUP events with Bradford Bronte Rotary Club, and we’re very proud to have partnered with them to raise so much money for a wealth of small projects making Bradford better.
Over and over again though, the projects who pitch tell us that whilst the money is fantastic, the additional benefits of networking, connecting with people and raising awareness of their project are what makes SOUP so special. We’re delighted to have been able to continue that in lockdown.
This time we heard from another three great causes: the Bradford Rotaract Group, pitching for funds to support their valentines (and beyond) pen pal scheme with care homes, Bradford Disability Sport and Leisure, pitching for funds for spare parts for their specially adapted bikes, and It’s Worth Talking About, who secured the majority of the votes for their network of male and female mental health peer support groups.
You can find full details of the past winners on the Bradford SOUP website, and join us on Thursday 20th May for our 20th event.
