Charity auction to support our work
Some of our lovely volunteers and supporters are running a charity auction to support our work.
The auction will be held online using eBay. Auction items went live on Friday 15th January 2021, and be live for seven or ten days.
If you’ve not used eBay before, it’s very easy – you just need to register for an account and then you can place bids.
Unlike a traditional auction, with eBay you place a ‘maximum’ bid that you are prepared to pay for the item – once you place your ‘maximum’ bid, your actual bid will be set to the lowest amount needed to win the item. If others then bid higher, your actual bid will automatically be increased to keep you in the lead, until it reaches the maximum amount you want to pay. eBay will also then notify you that you’ve been outbid in case you want to increase your maximum.
Items available include:
- portrait photography packages
- massage and beauty treatments
- juggling lessons
- golf clubs, lessons and experiences
- woodworking course
- a year’s supply of cheese scones
- cross stitch cards
- home-cooked pizza
- a patio jetwash
- wine, champagne and vodka
- home-made bread and cakes
- a monthly supply of home-made soup for a year
- bags, toiletries and jewellery
- cuddly bears
- a leather jacket
We’re so grateful that all proceeds from the auctions are going towards our work, so please do bid what you can.
