Acts 435 support

Acts 435 logo

Acts 435 support aims to crowd-fund support for people of up to £150 (or £200 for some items) towards specific household equipment, white goods, furnishings, essential furniture, court or debt relief order fees, clothing or other specific needs.

We accept referrals for individuals or families who are (or have recently been) homeless or vulnerably housed – for example those moving from homelessness into a property, or those who need items such as beds or white goods which most people would expect to have in their home, but they cannot afford.

Please note that because Acts 435 support is crowd funded, it may not be fulfilled immediately or at all. However, often requests are met within three to five weeks.

About Acts 435

Acts 435 is a giving website that allows people to give money directly to others, and 100% of what is donated via Acts 435 goes directly to those in need. It runs through a network of local charities and churches, who are trained by Acts 435 and post requests directly onto the Acts 435 website for people in their community who are in need. Once the funds have been raised, donors receive a thank you message explaining how their gift made a difference to the recipient.

When so many people need so much help giving to charities and good causes can sometimes feel overwhelming and hard. Acts 435 puts people who want to help in touch with people who are in need, through a network of churches and local charities. Acts 435 enables virtual, online giving for specific needs. 100% of individual’s donations go directly to the person or people donors choose to support. All administration costs are covered by Gift Aid. Acts 435 provides direct giving and seeks to provide fast, financial help to the people in need.

How to access this support

We accept referrals for Acts 435 grants from any of our referral agency partners. They can make a referral online.

If you are an individual who might benefit from this service, please contact us to be put in touch with a suitable referral agency.

If you have not referred before then you need to register with us first. Please contact ben@innchurches.co.uk for a registration form.

Successful grants will be made by bank transfer to the referring organisation (not the applicant). The referring organisation is then responsible for spending the funds on the item(s) raised for, and returning receipts for the full amount provided as soon as possible (within two weeks).
