Buy a beanie, give a beanie
For every beanie sold, we give another to somebody who is homeless. In addition, all of the proceeds support our work with people who are homeless, providing shelter during the winter months and working to find longer term accommodation for every guest.
The idea behind our ‘homeless beanies’ is simple:
- People knit and donate beanie hats.
- We make half of the beanies available to buy.
- People buy beanies.
- For every beanie sold, we distribute a beanie to somebody who is homeless.
- The money raised from sales of beanies also goes to help homeless and destitute individuals.
Our beanie hats are currently available to purchase in our café, and we’re working to make them available online soon.
Be a beanie rep
Want to help get our beanie hats onto people’s heads? Volunteer as a beanie rep and we’ll provide you with a small stack of beanies to sell in your workplace, church, local community or to your friends and family.
Knit a beanie
If you’re a keen knitter, why not knit us a beanie or two. We’re looking for designs that are creative, fun or funky – or just plain warm – so why not give it a go.
We’ll either sell your beanie to raise funds, or donate it to somebody who is homeless, depending on the current need.
