Judes Urban Kitchen, Shaw House, 22 Rawson Road, BD1 3SQ
We are offering young chefs (aged 10-17 inclusive) the opportunity to take a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Introduction to Food Safety Course.
The course takes place over two mornings, with a 30-minute 10-question test at the end. Participants will be invited to make their own lunch on both days.
The course will equip you with great knowledge to keep you safe in your own kitchen, and could also be a valuable asset if you are looking to get a part-time café or restaurant job. Successful candidates will receive a certificate and a food safety booklet to keep.
Participants must be committed to attending both days of the course.
Children must be aged 10-17 (inclusive) and accompanied by an adult. The adult will be asked to leave temporarily during the test on the second day.
Places are free for those in receipt of free school meals, or £7 otherwise, and are limited to six per course – book early to avoid disappointment.
Free school meal places are generously subsidised by the Department for Work & Pensions’ COVID Local Support Grant, through Bradford Metropolitan District Council. You will need to show proof of free school meals when you attend. Because places are so limited, please do not book free places unless you are definitely going to attend, and please let us know immediately if you can no longer come so that we can reallocate your place.
