Judes Urban Kitchen, Shaw House, 22 Rawson Road, Bradford, BD1 3SQ, UK
We are offering young chefs (aged 10-17) the opportunity to take a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Level 1 Food Safety Course.
The course takes place over two mornings short test at the end. Participants will be invited to make their own lunch on both days.
The course will equip you with great knowledge to keep you safe in your own kitchen, and could also be a valuable asset if you are looking to get a part-time café or restaurant job. Successful candidates will receive a certificate and a food safety booklet to keep.
Places are £7 per child, but free to those eligible for free school meals. You will need to pay a £3 deposit to reserve your place, which will be refunded to your original payment method after you have attended the class. (Please note that if you do not attend the class then your deposit will not be refunded).
Free school meal places are funded by the Department for Education’s HAF programme, via Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
